From the country...I spent time today in the sunshine playing in the dirt with my boy. I was pulling weeds and preparing a bed for seeding and he was right by my side, waiting. Finally I pulled the first worm from the soft soil as he squealed for joy. Then came another and another, until he had a little pile of worms squiggling around. I looked over at him as he played, his wild honey blond hair, his hazel eyes, a light dusting of freckles on his nose brought out by the sun. Perfect. Happy 3rd Birthday Lucas.
