Dancin’ in the Street

From the Country and the City...

The Chocosol Street Festival.

The sun was shining, the baked goods were glistening, the children were colouring with chalk on the pavement, the delicious homemade ice cream was happily being consumed, there was rhubarb, there were strawberries, face painting, playing with clay, puppet shows and dancing in the street.

Slow Food Toronto was there fundraising with all of the proceeds going to their delegates upcoming trip to Terra Madre in Italy this Fall 2010. One such delegate being our very own Harvest Kitchen Sister Laura. Here's some pics from the sale that day. Note: Laura's Rhubarb Jam Squares were completely sold out within an hour of when the sale started.

All in all, a pretty great day enjoying music, art and food education.

  1. Simply amazing photos. Is there a recipe forthcoming for the rhubarb jam squares?
